A three-day guided tour by luxury coach, including cellar visits, tastings and a champagne dinner

Global programme

On Friday morning we are picking up our guests and make our way towards the Champagne region. Because of rules and regulations  about our driver’s driving and resting times, we will make a stop in the north of France, after which we continue our drive to Reims, the beating heart of the Champagne.

There the true joy of the weekend will start in our first Champagne house, with a cellar visit and a tasting. Later in the afternoon we will drive a little further, to Villers-sous-Châtillon, where we will be hosted by the owners of a small family enterprise. They will serve us a delicious five course Champagne dinner with which we will of course also taste their Champagnes.

After dinner there is time to do some shopping and take some bottles home before we leave for our hotel in Reims. The remainder of the night is free, so you can plan to your own liking.

On Saturday we will take the bus from our hotel and travel to Épernay to visit our first Champagne house. Then there’s free time for lunch or a walk through the town, after which we will join again for our second tour and tasting.

Towards the end of the afternoon we will do a short drive to the little village of Hautvillers where we will pay a short visit to the tomb of Dom Pérignon and do a third tasting. You could see this as the apéritif, because after that we will return to Reims. You have the entire night free to spend in a nice restaurant or one of the many bars in the centre.

After breakfast on Sunday we will check out from the hotel and load our luggage in the bus, so we can travel to our first Champagne house of the day. Then there’s free time that you can spend on your own for lunch or maybe take a walk through the city.

Our bus will then bring us to our last Champagne house of the weekend. Here we will also tast a couple of very nice cuvées, after which it is about time to start our journey home.

In the area of Wanlin in Belgium we will make a longer stop to provide time for dinner and then it’s straight ahead towards Maastricht, where we expect to arrive around 21:30.
