A two-day guided tour by luxury coach, including cellar visits, tastings and a champagne dinner

Global programme

On Saturday morning we are picking up our guests in front of UWC and make our way towards the Champagne region. Because of rules and regulations  about our driver’s driving and resting times, we will make a stop in the north of France. After that we will continue our drive towards Reims, the beating heart of the Champagne.

The true joy of the weekend will start in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ where we will visit Pressoria, where we embark on a sensory journey to the essence of Champagne. This visit is an excellent experience to learn about Champagne for which you will need all your senses, ending of course with a tasting.

Later in the afternoon we will drive a little further, to Villers-sous-Châtillon, where we will be hosted by the owners of a small family enterprise.  They will first invite us to their cellars, followed by the apéritif, before we sit down for a delicious five course Champagne dinner with which we will of course also taste some of their Champagnes.

After dinner there is time to do some shopping and take some bottles home before we leave for our hotel in Reims. The remainder of the night is free, so you can plan to your own liking.

After breakfast on Sunday we will check out from the hotel and load our luggage in the bus, so we can travel to Pouillon, a small village just outside of Reims. In the first house of the day we will do a cellar tour and a comparative tasting.

Then we will drive back to the city for some free time that you can spend on your own for lunch or maybe take a walk through the city or visit the Christmas around the cathedral Notre Dame de Reims.

After lunch, will then bring us to our last house of the weekend, a very renowned brand in the Champagne business. Here we will also do a cellar tour and taste their flagship cuvée, after which it is about time to start our journey home.

In the area of Wanlin in Belgium we will make a longer stop to provide time for dinner and then it’s straight ahead towards Maastricht, where we expect to arrive around 21:30.
